Pat Lancaster began her career in journalism on a weekly newspaper in her Lancashire hometown. She moved to London in the 1970s, working with the Saudi Press Agency and later became editor of The Middle East magazine. She has contributed to a range of national newspapers in the UK and the Gulf and broadcasts regularly on television and radio on Middle East-related issues She is the author of three books, one of which has been made into a television feature film.
