Author was born in 1950 in post war Japan to parents who were both in the US Army. He grew up in Greece, Italy and France for a total of 19 years and worked five years in Iran. He speaks five languages. He lived 3 years in Siena, Italy as a painter and sculptor and illustrator. He lived in Manhattan 6 years and the past 30 years in Northern California as a lighting designer and manufacturer's representative. He holds a BA in Anthropology from George Washington University in Washington DC graduating Phi Beta Kappa in 1972 and an MA in Ancient History from the University of Fundamental Knowledge Oxford Network, Russian Federation in 2008. His master's thesis was on the Hellenistic influence on Buddhist sculpture in the Gandahar Style in 1-2 AD Afghanistan. In 2008 he was knighted into the Sovereign Orthodox Order of Saint John Hospitaler. He has written 16 books. His first one Tales from the Zirzameen garnered runner up in the Paris Book Festival in 2014 in the autobiography category.
