Tom Hillenbrand was born in Hamburg, Germany. He has an MA in European Politics. After working as a reporter and section editor for the online edition of DER SPIEGEL and others, he became a full-time author. His thrillers and science fiction novels have won him various prizes and are bestsellers in Germany. He currently lives in Munich without any cats.
