Diana Conyers spent most of her life employed in the field of international development. She lived and worked in many countries and wrote various academic books and articles on third world' development. However, when she retired in 2013 she decided to explore new territory: to live in Crete, a part of the world about which she knew very little, and to adopt a more creative style of writing.
