Tracy Shilcutt
Few people have been as closely associated with the history of Abilene as Tracy Shilcutt has. A native of Abilene, she grew up and received her education here, including an advanced degree from Abilene Christian University. She has been at the very heart of preserving Abilene's history, including important work at the Museums of Abilene, Camp Barkeley and the Abilene Preservation League. She currently teaches history at McMurry University where she also serves as Collections Manager for the McWhiney Foundation.
