Dr. Stephen Thorson continues to teach systematic and comparative theology in seminaries in Nepal, having earned an master's degree in theological studies from Wheaton College Graduate School, where on graduation he was awarded the Kantzer Award in Christian History and Theology. Previously he earned an MD degree from Pennsylvania State University and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Virginia. He has worked in the country of Nepal (Mt Everest country!) since 1984. Presently he is also involved in vaccine-preventable disease research sponsored by Oxford University.
