was born in one of the northern provinces of the Netherlands in 1948. The youngest of six children, she was privileged to often visit parishioners with her father, a pastor and church historian. She would sit on the bar in front of him as he rode his bicycle, and he would nudge her with his knee and command: "Sing, Christine, sing-or I'll bump you off the bike!" So she sang-psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. In 1958, her father accepted a call to Toronto, Canada, and the bike was exchanged for a car. Her father instilled in her a love for history, and today Christine still sings of the remarkable providence of God on the pages of her books. Together with her husband, Anco, a semi-retired veterinarian, Christine resides in Arthur, Ontario. They have 5 children, 27 grandchildren, a dog, a cat and 11 chickens. This is her second book for Joshua Press.
