Crystal A. Garcia is Associate Professor of Criminal Justice, Law and Public Safety in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IUPUI. Crystal’s primary research and teaching interests include juvenile justice and crime policy, gender-specific programming, the death penalty, re-entry, and community corrections. She is currently leading a statewide effort to collect and analyze disproportionate minority contact data in Indiana. Crystal was co-chair of the 2010 Program Committee for the American Society of Criminology’s annual conference in San Francisco.
