Prof Anthony Roberts OBE was an only child and only attended his local primary school at the age of eight after his Tuberculosis was cured. He went on to study engineering at Leeds and Cambridge University and later went on to study medicine at Cambridge, Oxford, Witwatersrand, and Michigan Universities before becoming a consultant plastic surgeon.
