Dr Heather Goodall lectures in Aboriginal history, Australian social history and public history at the University of Technology Sydney. She has worked as an historical researcher for Aboriginal organisations, including the Pitjantjatjara Council in Central Australia, the western Regional Aboriginal Land Councils and the Western Aboriginal Legal Service in NSW; during 1991 she worked as a consultant for the Deaths in Custody Royal Commission. She is the author of numerous studies on racial and cultural interaction.
