Elaine H. Kim is Professor of Asian American and Comparative Ethnic Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. She is coeditor of Echoes Upon Echoes: New Korean American Writing (2002) and executive producer of the documentary Labor Women (2002). Margo Machida is Assistant Professor of Art History and Asian American Studies at the University of Connecticut, Storrs.
