Leonie Stevens was born during the Cuban Missile Crisis. At the age of eleven, frustrated by the plot limitations of 'Lost in Space', she wrote her first story. After some years of variously working, writing and watching daytime soaps, Leonie's first novel, Nature Strip was published in 1994. Since then her stories have been appearing in magazines, anthologies, on radio and the net, and her second novel, Big Man'S Barbie, was published in 1996. She loves Black Grape and Scorcese films, and currently lives in Melbourne where she is working on her third novel, Glue, as well as watching daytime soaps.
