Collin Varner is an arborist/horticulturalist at the University of British Columbia. He is the steward of 25,000 trees at the universitys Point Grey campus, where he also teaches native plant studies. A member of the International Society of Arboriculture and the American Society of Consulting Arborists, he is the author of several books, including The Flora and Fauna of Coastal British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest.
