Lynnette Brent started her career as a classroom teacher, and she still strives to make a difference in the lives of learners. Lynnette has worked in a school setting as both a middle school teacher and a provider of professional development in grades K-12. She is the author of numerous trade publications for students, linking her passions of science and literacy; and she is the author of two professional resources with Scholastic and Heinemann firstHand. A featured speaker at NCTE, IRA, and the National Middle School Association, Lynnette's passion is working with educators to implement strong best practices in ways that engage both students and teachers.
