Native Hoosier Amy McVay Abbott is a columnist, essayist, and author. She's written seven books and been featured in three anthologies. She's worked for multiple local newspapers in Indiana as both a columnist and reporter. She has also been a paid contributor to multiple regional and national print and online venues. Amy holds a master's degree in journalism from Ball State University and lives in southwestern Indiana with her husband Randy.
