I was born in London but moved to Canberra, Australia, after completing a Ph.D in visual information processing. After a few more years of research, I became involved with tai chi and meditation. I left research and spent 12 years in teaching tai chi and yoga relaxation classes. Meditation manifested a mountain of poems, then plays, short stories and novels.
In 1987, I married Judith, a visual artist. In 1992, I started to do her picture framing. That led to woodturning and making wooden automata.
Since 1997, Judith and I have lived on the Sunshine Coast, Queendsland.
