Kate Prendergast took a degree in Fine Art, but worked in the construction industry for many years before returning to study illustration at the Cambridge School of Art. Her debut picture book, Dog on a Train, was published by Old Barn Books in 2015. Kate volunteers with the reading charity Beanstalk and her rescue dog Neo is the subject of many of her drawings.
