Peter Swan practiced marine casualty and product liability law, worked as a tenured law professor, and served as General Counsel for the University of Oregon. His interests include mountaineering, traveling abroad, playing saxophone in a swing band, skiing, and golfing. Upon retirement, he has turned his hand to writing mysteries and thrillers. His published novels are Past Due, Unnatural Causes, and Forest Park (all Rick Conwright, PI mysteries), Fealder's Choice (a Parkinson Fealder mystery), and a thriller, Countdown to Contagion. He and his wife of fifty-two years live in western Oregon.
