CATCHING A MEMORY (Summer Press, 2020) is Judith Shaw's first book of fiction. The opening story in this collection was awarded honorable mention by The American Literary Review. Ms. Shaw's previous publications, Trans Fats: the Hidden Killer in our Food (Simon & Schuster, N.Y.) and Raising Low Fat Kids in a High Fat World (Chronicle Books, S.F.), were emphatic early indicators of the concealed treachery in the food industry and the potential consequent scourge of hypertension and its ramifications, obesity, and the now rampant type 2 diabetes among children and adults. Ms. Shaw graduated from Skidmore College and completed her graduate work at The University of California, Berkeley; Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism; Lone Mountain College, San Francisco University. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
