Jean E. Pendziwol is a critically acclaimed children's author who was born on the shores of Lake Superior and spent much of her childhood aboard her family's sailboat. After working as a freelance writer and photographer, she spent several years focused on raising her children before she published her first children's book. She lives in Ontario with her family, a loveable mutt, and three temperamental chickens. The Lightkeeper's Daughters is her adult debut.
