Diane S. Barna is a retired business manager turned author. As a long-time horse owner and trainer, she was inspired to write Silent Fears as the debate over reopening horse slaughter plants in the United States continues. Miss Barna hopes this story will encourage horse owners to choose more humane avenues when dealing with these majestic creatures. Miss Barna lives in Northeast Tennessee with her two rescue dogs.
