Ray Wood is a real estate marketing specialist, best-selling author, podcaster and real estate tech entrepreneur.A fourth-generation real estate agent, Ray grew up in a real estate family and for many years ran Wood Brothers, an inner Melbourne real estate agency with brother David. In order to grow their business in a very competitive market, they started to trial different marketing ideas and soon gained a solid local following with property owners in their local community. Ray's first book was a lead generator titled 'How To Sell Your Home For More' which has become a bestseller. It was also his first lead magnet. As Ray's marketing ideas began to generate more and more leads, he started to experiment with other lead magnets, and introduced an automated nurturing and client care program to ensure business contacts were converting to listings and sales at every opportunity. This was the beginning of Ray's real estate funnel success and years of continual testing and tweaking resulted in multiple funnels for different niches within the business (investors, buyers, downsizers etc). In 2008 Ray moved to Canada to be with his three children. Unable to put his real estate skills to work in Toronto because of Canada's working visa rules, he made the switch to working with agents online and launched Bestagents Inc. to share his funnel strategies, systems and ideas.He's also a founding partner at LockedON, the real estate CRM used by agents in Australia and New Zealand and Jigglar, the marketing and design platform used by agents around the world. In 2015, Ray and wife Christine realized their dream to buy a cottage and boathouse on a lake in Ontario's Kawartha Lakes district north of Toronto and, with the help of neighbours, friends and family, began renovating the buildings.Ray's into mountain biking, writing, making videos, playing guitar, entertaining friends at the cottage and going for bush walks with Christine and their two much-loved furry friends, Roxi and Blizzard.
