Samantha York is a writer and advocate for young people with additional support needs. She grew up by the sea in Northumberland before moving to Scotland to complete her master’s degree in literature and history. After a brief sojourn teaching, she now divides her time between writing and working as a youth support worker, specialising in autism awareness. It was her passion for folklore and travelling to remote places that inspired her to start writing. She now lives in Glasgow with her husband, gecko and cat.
