Robert Joe Stout is a journalist who has worked as a magazine editor, newspaper reporter, copy editor and contributing editor. The author of The Blood of the Serpent: Mexican Lives (2003), he has published his nonfiction widely in magazines, journals, and newspapers, and he has also published a lot of short fiction and poetry. He currently lives in Mexico.
