Calvin Brown is a brave new poetic voice, a proudly angry Black man, and a survivor who continues on life's path despite falling down. He began writing poetry to overcome the fears and tragedies he experienced. That journey led him to find the inner voice and spiritual awakening he needed to stand tall in spite of the past. His poems and songs have helped inspire him to defeat many obstacles that have come his way over the years.
Brown lives in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada. He is divorced, with five children and three grandchildren.
