Dr. Masood Ahmad (b.1952) is a senior Professor in the department of Biochemistry, F/o of Life Sciences, A.M.U. Aligarh - 202002 (India) having a long experience of working in the fields of Environmental Toxicology and Bioremediation. He is former Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences and former Chairman of the department of Biochemistry. He has also served as the Coordinator of UGC-DRS I & II as well as DST-FIST programmes of the department. Prof. Ahmad has also worked on Hepatitis-B vaccine development program as UNIDO's Consultant Researcher (Expert on Mission) at ICGEB, New Delhi during 1991-94. He has also represented the South-East Asian Region of the world in the watertox experts' workshop of IDRC, Canada, held at Ottawa in June 1996. Prof. Ahmad supervised 18 PhDs, 11 MPhils and 25 M.Sc. projects in the diversified areas of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology. He has authored five books, published more than 70-research papers and reviewed innumerable research papers/projects/theses etc., besides being the member of editorial boards of several scientific journals and academic magazines.
