Melissa Balderas is a children's book author and works as a licensed social worker who resides in Texas with her wonderful husband and lovely children. She graduated cum laude from Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Social Work. She pursued graduate school at The University of Texas at Arlington, where she graduated with a Master of Social Work, specializing in direct practice with children and families. She received outstanding awards throughout her academic career and holds lifetime memberships in multiple honor societies highlighting her excellence. What began as a childhood hobby; grew into a passion throughout the years. When Melissa is not spending her days working or writing, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and making special memories.
