David Pepper is a writer, democracy activist, former elected official, adjunct professor and lawyer, and former chair of the Ohio Democratic Party. He also currently serves as a senior fellow at the Kettering Foundation.Pepper is the author of two recent non-fiction books-Laboratories of Autocracy and Saving Democracy-which outline the threats to American democracy and how everyday Americans can play active roles in protecting democracy. Pepper has also written five novels.Pepper's work has been featured in numerous newspapers and magazines, and he is a regular guest on MSNBC, CNN, C-SPAN, many podcasts, and radio shows all over the country.
