D. L. Sloat resides in Massachusetts with his family. He works in public education and writes middle-grade and young adult fiction in his spare time. D. L.'s first book in the Chuck Cory trilogy, Hardwood Hacker, is a basketball story about friendship and over-coming challenges. Infield Outsider is a baseball story that explores loyalty and open-mindedness. Real Keeper (Fall 2020) focuses on activism and first love. D. L.'s Scouting short stories have been published in two Chipper Press anthologies, Campfire Tales and The Spelunkers. He also writes general fiction under the pen name of Todd Salvia.
