Samanta Schweblin is a novelist and short-fiction writer from Argentina, now based in Berlin. She is the recipient of a National Book Award, a Shirley Jackson Award, the Juan Rulfo Story Prize, and has has been nominated three times for the International Booker Prize. Chosen by Granta as one of the twenty-two best young writers in Spanish, her fiction has appeared in The New Yorker, Granta, The Paris Review, and McSweeney’s. Her novel Fever Dream, shortlisted for the International Booker Prize in 2017, was adapted by Netflix to acclaim in 2021. Good and Evil and Other Stories is her third collection.
