Barbara Linn Probst is the author of the acclaimed novels The Color of IceThe Sound Between the Notes, and Queen of the Owls. Each of her novels has won prestigious national awards in literary, popular, and women’s fiction, including the Sarton Award for Contemporary Fiction. Barbara has also published over 75 articles on the craft of writing and the writing life. An avid traveler, a former teacher and therapist, and a “serious amateur” pianist, she makes her home in the Hudson Valley, just north of New York City.
