Benjamin Wright grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta, in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Despite being a juvenile delinquent who had frequent stays at Gwinnett County's regional youth detention center and group home facilities around the city of Atlanta, he attended Albany State University, a Historically Black College and University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He is now a six-year police officer veteran who has worked in the streets of Albany, Georgia, and the local school system. Today he is on a mission to share his story with others about his transition from a juvenile delinquent to a police officer. His goal is to help inspire others to know that if he can change, they can change too.
