Margaret Brandman is an award-winning composer, pianist, recording artist, music educator, arranger, and writer on music education, whose career spans more than 50 years. Brandman has twice been awarded BEST FOREIGN COMPOSITION the Artemis Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA. In April 2021 she received the award for her Symphonic Tone Poem Spirit Visions recorded by the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra. The work was released in June 2021 on Polarities Vol. 2 (nv6353). In April 2019, she received the same award for her work Firestorm Symphony (III) 'All the Trees are Growing' included on Sensations (nv6041). Her large range of pieces for a variety of instruments and voice have been released on several albums produced by Parma Recordings: SENSATIONS (nv 6041), ABRAZO (ar0001), COSMIC WHEEL OF THE ZODIAC (nv6160), and POLARITIES Vol. 2 (nv 6353), while her Cello Sensations series is released on digital platforms on the Modernclassicalx Label. Her concert works for piano, voice, chamber ensembles and orchestra receive both live performances and international airplay on a regular basis. Margaret Brandman has combined her compositional interests with her interest in accelerated learning techniques for music. Brandman is author and publisher of many music education materials in her contemporary series of education materials, which range from books for junior students, to textbooks for high school and tertiary study. Her catalog contains over 100 published books and compositions. Many of her works are included in Australian Music Examination syllabuses. At the time of writing, she is continuing her career as composer, recording artist, performer, and music educator.
