STARBUCK is professor of anthropology at Plymouth State University and the author of 16 books, most recently The Archaeology of Forts and Battlefields (U Press of Fla, 2012) and Excavating the Sutlers’ House: Artifacts of the British Armies in Fort Edward and Lake George (UPNE, 2010).
