Mr. Richard P. Goodwin was the founder of the Serenity Association and served as the medium through whom the Living Light Philosophy was given. He was born in South Portland, Maine, on February 22, 1927 and passed on to the higher life on February 24, 1989. Through his mediumship he gave spiritual awareness classes; many of which were recorded. The recorded classes, which constitute the Living Light Philosophy, have been transcribed and published in The Living Light Dialogue. The teacher who expressed through Mr. Goodwin's mediumship made it clear that his lessons were not a dogma or a creed, but simply his own understanding to aid and guide us on our own journey of eternal progression. Mr. Goodwin was the living demonstration of the Living Light Philosophy.
