Mr. Dalrymple was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He attended the Univ. of N.H. and Columbia Univ.He served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956. He has lived many years in the Aleutian Islands. Mr. Dalrymple has traveled extensively, particularly to the countries offering subject to many of his books. one of which is Nepal.
