DR. S. K. DUBEY, presently Head of CSWCRTI, Research Centre, Chhalesar, Agra has a vast experience of more than 26 years of research, teaching, training and extension in the fields of Management of Salt Affected lands and Use of saline water in Agriculture, Soil and Water Conservation, Watershed Management and Utilization of urban and industrial effluents and Biosolids in Agriculture. Dr. Dubey worked on development of a new irrigation method "Pitcher Irrigation" which saves more than 70 percent water and allow high saline/ alkaline waters to grow salt sensitive crops economically. He is recipient of prestigious Netherland fellowship in the area of salinity management. In recognition of his outstanding contributions in the fields of Water Conservation and Salinity Management he has been bestowed with prestigious Dr Rajendra Prasad Puruskar of ICAR and Dr. K.G. Tejwani Award of IASWC. He has visited various countries of the world such as USA, The Netherlands, U.K., France, Belgium, Brussels, Vietnam etc. for the cause of Management of salinity and Environment related studies. As a head of centre he promoted research, training and consultancies in the field of Soil and water conservation in Yamuna Ravines. He has more than 145 publications to his credit which include research papers of journals of national and international repute, books, book chapters, bulletins, reports, excerpts in national and international conferences and also guided students for Ph.D. and M.Sc. in the field of Soil Science, Water Management and Environmental Sciences
