Dr. Jai Ram Jha, born on 25th Nov. 1961, at Taufir Diyara, a very remote village, surrounded by the holy River Ganga, in the District of Munger, Bihar, did his M.A., Ph.D., and LLB from Patna University, Bihar. Presently he is an Associate Prof. and Head, Department of English, Silapathar College, Silapathar, Dhemaji, Assam under Dibrugarh University. The first book of Dr. Jha has been published under the title "The Novels of Chinua Achebe - A Colonial Encounter" in the year of 2013, which is acknowledged and appreciated by the different readers of English Literature. Presently he is the Editor-in-Chief of Literary Churning-A bi-annual peer-reviewed International journal of Language, Literature & Culture and a member of the Editorial Board of Research Vision - A multi disciplinary research journal. Besides, Dr. Jha has contributed numerous papers and articles to different journals and magazines as well as to many conferences and seminars of national repute. His field of interest includes Indian writing in English especially fiction. More to the point, he has to his credit a number of poems in English and Hindi. He has successfully guided M.Phil. Scholars from various universities under his supervision. Presently, a number of Ph.D. scholars are working under his supervision.
