This is not the first book Joseph Julian has written and published. After his tour of duty in the army, in his job with Ford Motor Company he spent a good deal of his time writing. In fact, his job title was "Release and Spec Writer." One of his accomplishments was writing a technical manual. It was short, but had big results. Written in 1993, the title was Under-hood Appearance, and the results are there every time you open the hood of any car today and know exactly where to look to check your oil. Joseph hopes this book does as well. His story is not about any one act, profession, or lifestyle. It is about the journeys that he has been on and the people he met along the way. Even though he started each journey on his own, he always ended in the company of friends. Joseph hopes that if he leaves readers with anything, it will be the understanding that the journey is more important than the goal.
