Dr. David Slamp has earned the right to be heard. He pastored 25 years, taught in the religion departments of two Christian Universities, authored 3 books, various Bible studies, and served on the staffs as Small Group and Community Pastor in churches of up to 5,100 members!
Dave pioneered the innovative CareRing approach to life-giving community groups in which the groups coordinate and link-up with Bible studies or the Sunday school to maximize life transformation. He has a passion for authentic community building and believes his life call is to, "...equip the saints for the work of ministry." As a result, he has been invited to speak for more than a dozen regional ministry conferences throughout the United States and consults regularly for districts and local churches on two continents.
Dr. Slamp teaches small group dynamics and leadership throughout the US and Africa in many denominations. He has an M.Div. from Nazarene Theological Seminary and earned his doctorate from Fuller Theological Seminary in spiritual formation. He has twice been elected to Who's Who and wrote, the Bearing Spiritual Fruit small group Bible Study, (Ephesians Four Ministries, 2011), The Spiritual Growth Survey, with which pastors and church leaders evaluate the spiritual climate and maturity of congregations. (Published, CGI Press, 1998), and the Spiritual Fruit Assessment. He has been national seminar trainer for Serendipity House for three years.
He lives in Vancouver, WA with his wife, Kathy. They have two grown children, Scott and his wife, Linda and their two children, and Dana who lives in New York City.
