Toby L. Parcel is Professor of Sociology and Associate Dean, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, The Ohio State University. Her research has focused on race and sex differences in earnings; sampling and measurement strategies in organizational research; the effects of change on workers and work organization; and family conflict and accommodation in relation to work in union and non-union households. Dr. Parcel's writings have been widely published in major professional journals. The coauthor of "Ascription in Labor Markets, "Dr. Parcel received her Ph.D from the University of Washington.
