Daniel Breen was born and bred in a town called Ballincollig (about 6 miles outside Cork City). He received an honours degree in History and Archaeology from University College Cork in 2001 and was awarded a Masters in European Historical Archaeology from the University of Sheffield in 2002. Since then, he has worked in Cork Public Museum, rising to the position of Assistant Curator. Much of his life is given to help catalogue, research and understand Cork's varied and rich heritage while also educating the public about this often forgotten past.
