J.D. Howard is a native of Everett, Washington. Over the last 40 years he has been an avid student of history and literature, a foundry moulder, welder, door maker, glazier, wood cutter, carpenter, land broker, proud father of two wonderful children, fisherman, and handyman. Sawdust Empire is his second novel.
