Anne Stuart made her first professional sale at age seven to Jack and Jill magazine. Her first novel was Barrett’s Hill, a gothic romance published by Ballantine in 1974. Since then, she’s written gothics, regencies, romantic suspense, romantic adventure, historical romance, mainstream contemporary romance, and more. She is the author of award-winning and best-selling romance series such as the suspenseful Ice books and The House of Rohan, set in historical Venice. Her work has been covered on the television show Entertainment Tonight as well as in Vogue, People, USA Today, Women’s Day, and countless other publications. In addition, she is the recipient of the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.

When she’s not traveling, Anne is at home in northern Vermont with her devoted husband of thirty-eight years, an empty nest, two cats, and four sewing machines.
