Philip K. Howard is the author of the New York Times bestseller The Death of Common Sense, among other books. In 2002, he formed Common Good, a nonpartisan national coalition dedicated to restoring common sense to America. Howard has advised both parties on government reform, including Vice President Al Gore's reinventing government initiative and as a member of President Trump's CEO council. He is Senior Counsel at the law firm Covington & Burling, LLP. A graduate of Yale College and the University of Virginia Law School, he lives in Manhattan with his wife Alexandra. They have four children.
