A native of Alabama, a graduate of Auburn University and an Air Force veteran, serving in San Antonio, Texas and Tripoli, Libya, Frank Orr began his writing career in high school and continued writing, in college, military service and in other varied vocations until retirement; then he resumed writing as a full-time activity. During his years practicing architecture he published four non-fiction books. Beginning to write fiction in 2004, he has e-published several books, eight of them in a mystery series. He has also written numerous articles for local and national publications. He enjoys writing short stories, whimsical verse, puns and haikus. Widowed, he lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with extended family nearby.
