M. Earl Smith is a historian, professor, author, and father. A graduate of Chatfield College in Ohio, he completed a master of arts degree in English at the University of Pennsylvania in 2017. He is currently pursuing a master of fine arts degree in creative writing at Pine Manor College while teaching English at Harcum College in nearby Bryn Mawr. He lives in Philadelphia with his Shetland Sheepdog, Che.
