Marlene Targ Brill has been creating children's books for many years. She earned her Administrative Certificate at Loyola University and her B.S. at the University of Illinois at Urbana. She received her Masters degree in Early Childhood Education at Roosevelt University.
She started writing while teaching children with disabilities, producing materials to help her students learn. With time, the desire to write grew stronger. Soon she was writing for a variety of formats--magazines, newspapers, newsletters, videotape, and textbooks--developing materials for readers of all ages.
Marlene continues to interact with children through her writing and by visiting schools across the country. She continues to write fiction and nonfiction books, articles, and educational materials for children and adults. She is the author of TOOTH TALES FROM AROUND THE WORLD, THE DIARY OF A DRUMMER'S BOY (Millbrook) and RAINY DAYS AND RAINBOWS (World Book). Marlene lives in Illinois with her family.
