Dennis Lee Foster is a computer scientist, consultant, author, artist, explorer, and educator, known for his groundbreaking work in the development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the fields of educational technology, medical diagnosis, and robotics. He is also known as an authority on franchising, with 40 years experience in developing and deploying franchise systems in diverse industries, from technology and health care to hotels and restaurants. Actively involved in AI research, software development, and implementation, he is the author of over 60 published books on a wide range of subjects, including AI, computer programming, technology, business management, finance, health care, sociology, education, behavior science, and marketing. The massive deployment and spread of his authored AI-based learning systems via more than 18,000 universities, colleges, and technical schools since the early 1980s was the first global implementation of AI in education and a milestone in the real-world application of behavioral science learning technology. He currently serves as CEO of Mundus Education Corporation and is also the volunteer Director of The Life Science Institute.
