L. Woods was born in Detroit raised in Georgia. She has a B.S. in Biology from The Unsinkable Albany State University and a Master of Public Health Degree-specializing in Environmental Health. L. Woods taught preschool children for five years. L. Woods enjoys being around children. Children allow for her to be As silly as a worm without being judged. Her favorite children's book is Corduroy by Don Freeman. L.Woods lives in Metro Atlanta with Her daughter who is the inspiration for the character, Aly.
